It's built around one unusual claim for aquaculture automation: every dosing and circulation decision in the system's history is independently re-derivable and tamper-evident, not merely logged.

Why cold-water coral needs this specifically

Cold-water species like Lophelia pertusa come from environments that are extremely chemically and thermally stable. The threat isn't an absolute limit being crossed — it's rate of change: a swing a tropical species tolerates without incident can trigger tissue damage in a fragment adapted to shifts that historically took weeks, not hours.

Holding alkalinity, calcium, and flow within tight rate-of-change limits, across multiple tanks, continuously, isn't something a technician can do reliably by hand at any meaningful scale. For this species class, automation isn't a convenience — it's what makes propagation possible at all.

Why the record matters as much as the automation

Conservation propagation programs, permitted research facilities, and commercial operations all eventually have to answer, to a skeptical reviewer, exactly what a system did and whether the hardware actually did what it was told. Where this actually stands right now

Built and tested. Not yet running a live facility — and we'd rather say that plainly than imply otherwise.

Current status

The core pipeline, safety architecture, and compliance/reporting layer are fully built and have been stress-tested end to end, including real hardware driver code exercised against simulated physical hardware. There is no live pilot running yet.

  • We're currently evaluating pilot options with coral, marine research, and aquaculture facilities across the U.S.
  • A pilot is structured as a monitored, staged rollout with jointly-defined success criteria, not a one-shot "go live" — the goal is a facility comfortable enough with the system's track record to expand it, not one talked into an all-or-nothing bet.
